Invite Health in 2024

Invite Health is coming back in 2024!

🎉 Happy New Year!

Welcome, new subscribers and returning subscribers.

I received an overwhelming amount of positive messages from some of you over the past few months. You expressed how much Invite Health has helped you, and opened your eyes to new careers in healthcare. Some of you even told me that you want to start your own initiatives inspired by Invite Health! I cannot express how much this means to me, I am so grateful for all of you.

đź’Ś The Return of Invite Health

Over this winter break, when I was debating if I should bring back Invite Health, I sought out the person I go to whenever I need help making a big decision: my mom. Without any hesitation, she said that I should definitely continue Invite Health. Thank you mom for being the catalyst. :)

🌟 My (bullet-point) 2024 Vision Board for Invite Health:

  • Branch out to more students working in fields I haven’t covered in Invite Health yet, including: dentistry, pharmacy, journalism, venture capital, AI, humanities, and more!

    • If you are a reader working in any of these fields, please send me a message!

  • Interview job recruiters & hiring managers who can provide a their perspective on the hiring process: What are the do’s and don’ts of applications? How are successful students chosen for their programs? What are some of their tips for interviews?

  • Start a “In the Invite Health Community” series, where I feature organisations, social enterprises, and/or research initiatives that are making a positive impact in the community and aligns with Invite Health’s missions

  • Build Invite Health’s presence on Instagram (I started a page - check it out instagram.com/readinvitehealth)

  • Reach 10,000 subscribers

🤞 Let’s make 2024 a good year!

How can you get the most out of Invite Health? 🫶

  1. Send cold messages. Reach out to the people who were interviewed when you’re interested in learning more about their journey. At the end of each newsletter, all interviewees leave their contact information for readers to contact them!

  2. Share Invite Health with your friends and networks. Get a conversation going about something new you learned- whether it’s an opportunity, a piece of advice, or a recommendation that an interviewee made.

  3. Apply to the opportunities that are shared in the newsletters! You have nothing to lose, and so much to gain. And circling back to point #1 - always reach out to the interviewees if you want advice from them!
